Traveling Teachers

Booking a Teacher Classes Class Descriptions Quilt Quest Q.U.I.L.T.

CALLING ALL TEACHERS: If you are a teacher, or know a teacher who would be interested in becoming an AQG Traveling Teacher, please call the AQG office at (602) 220-9889, or write to the Arizona Quilters Guild, 2048 N 44TH Street, Suite 212, Phoenix, AZ 85008.

Booking a Teacher

Chapter or Program Chairs are encouraged to set up the Traveling Teacher classes/workshops or lectures directly with the teacher. Upon agreement of a class date and time, and working within the parameters of the TT program, a contract and a deposit check ($50.) are sent by the Chapter to the AQG board office by the Chapter. When reviewed and signed, the contract is sent with the check to the teacher and a copy is sent to the Chapter. This small change in procedure is necessary so that the Guild can keep track of classes it is sponsoring and subsidizing. The class can then be noted in the Chatter and on the AQG web site. This step enables the class to fill more easily and guarantee its success. Chapters are encouraged to set dates as early as possible to facilitate the process.

Some things to consider:
If a class needs to be canceled, this must be done within 21 or more days of the scheduled date in order to receive a deposit refund. This is a courtesy to the teacher who has reserved the date for the chapter.

Chapters are responsible for providing class supply lists to their members.

Chapters are responsible for copying, distributing and collecting all class evaluation sheets, as well as mailing them to the AQG office to the Traveling Teacher’s attention.

Any questions…please call the AQG office at (602) 220-9889
