Kingman Quilters Nov Chapter Report

Our 2016 quilt show “Echoes of the Past”, held on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, definitely met our expectations. In addition to many beautiful quilts on display the show included a display of embroidery work from our Stitchbook project, demonstrations of wool spinning by ladies from our local yarn shop, a bed turning presented twice each day, a special display of our Quilts of Valor, and of course, our wonderful vendors. There was also a silent auction of quilted art pieces and two Singer Featherweight machines; there were bids on all the items and all sold. And the boutique offered excellent items from many of our members. The guild extends thanks to the show’s chairman, Deb H, and those who assisted her. That the show was a success is due to their hard work.

The September meeting marked our 22nd anniversary as a guild and part of AQG, and we celebrated with a lunch of salads and desserts. 2017 will begin with a class in January taught by Linda B on a Judy Neimeyer pattern, and other classes and workshops will follow throughout the year. It promises to be a great year for all of our members.
