Nimble Thimbles Dec Chapter Report

Nimble Thimbles celebrated October with our annual Fall Quilt Retreat at Emmanuel Pines in Prescott. As usual, we brought up way too many projects but still managed to do our annual posting of the projects on the cabin for the picture. One of the members also brought up extra fabric and in true quilting fabraholics we all dove in.

During the quilt retreat and our first meeting in November, we had 2 small quilt auctions. Our members are so talented and so very willing to purchase from other members. We made over $2,000 between the two quilt auctions which will be used for programs for our guild.
In addition, in October we had a trunk show by Jessica Dickinson – My Journey Through Scrap Mountain. This was a wonderful show with many quilts showing color and how to use those little scraps. She even brought 6 tubs of scraps and everyone dove in to take some home to start using her techniques.
